Basketball Court

You may find this to be strange

what I am about to report

But the other day I was a juror

for the Basketball court

You see, three steps without dribbling

is one step too many

And according to little Jimmy

He did not take any

So he went to court in an attempt

to dispute the referees claim

But he was still found guilty

of traveling during the game.

Piano Player

He has the speed to play center field

He never misses a fly ball.

He can catch them on the run

Or back up against the wall.

He is as good with a bat in hand.

You should see him at the plate.

He hits for avergae and for power

I'm telling you this kid is great.

He even plays tunes in between innings

This kid is destined for fame

He 's got all the tools to be a star

The Piano Players' got game.

Blind Leading the Blind

I saw two Venetian blinds,
walking one behind the other.
Straight across an open field,
They were looking for their Mother.

I heard them say they were going to check,
the local lost and found.
I would think she is on a window somewhere.
Securely hanging around.

I do not believe that there is much,
that these two can find.
Cause this is the perfect example of
the blind leading the blind.

Snowball Fight

How it got started, when it will end,
I’m not sure I know.
I believe it began just this morning,
With the first flakes of snow.

The birds, they watched from above,
And the squirrels they were cheering. I was astonished at the sight,
And all the things I was hearing.

I tried to stop it, and break it up,
This nasty Snowball Fight.
But from the looks of these two guys,
It could go on all night.

Tortoise and the Hair

It’s kind of funny how stories get twisted,
As you whisper down the lane.
The tortoise and the hair is one of those stories
That started out pretty plain.

A rabbit racing a turtle,
No way that contest is fair.
This was really quite simply about,
A tortoise with big hair.

It was not just a regular hair-do,
Just ask his friend the worm.
This slow old tortoise walked around,
With a very curly perm.

Traffic Jam

The peanut butter was in a hurry,

He had to get to the bread.

He was going to take the country road,

But took the highway instead.

This turned out to be a big mistake,

cause as he appraoched the light.

There was traffic everywhere,

to the left and to the right.

He figured there was something wrong,

Cause he heard a big loud bam.

There was an accident at the corner,

That caused a Traffic Jam.

Screw Driver

I was cruising down the road,
Not going very fast.
When over to the left,
A sports car went on past.

I turned my head just slightly,
And saw it was midnight blue.
And much to my surprise,
It was being driven by a screw.

He had commend of the vehicle,
His skills they really showed.
As he twisted, and turned his way,
Down the winding road.

He obviously had his license,
The Screw Driver did everything right.
He obeyed every traffic sign.
And stopped at every light.

Bad Apple

Past the field, out in the orchard,
Something fell not far from the tree.
There was something making a fuss,
I wasn’t sure what it could be.

I moved in closer to get a look,
And hear what it had to say.
It did not want to share its toys,
It did not want to play.

It did not want to drink its milk,
It would not eat its lunch.
This had to be the one Bad Apple,
That spoiled the rest of the bunch.

Fishing Boat

I was walking around the lake,

Drinking my root beer float.

When at the edge of the water,

I encountered a fishing boat.

He was sitting on the dock,

Having a good old time.

With his rod and his reel,

And some two pound fishing line.

He had no bait on the end of his line,

I could not figure it out.

But he assured me that he was catching,

A lot of Bass and Trout.

I Am The Cupboard

I don’t feel good, no I don’t
I have emptiness, deep inside.
This is not the way it is meant to be,
But I have nothing left to hide.

My surroundings are white, very plain
My shelves they hang all alone.
My floor it holds a couple of crumbs.
Other than that, I’m dry as a bone.

I’m supposed to be the most popular space
Used more than any cabinet or drawer
But I have been abandoned lately,
Cause someone won’t go to the store.

The kids, they used to come to me
Whenever they wanted a snack.
They would take what they wanted, then run away
But I knew they would soon be back

The Dad is great; he would hang out for a while
He would just stand at the door and stare.
It would take him some time to make a choice
But his favorite stuff was always there.

There used to be a pretty good schedule
I was replenished at least once a week
But now the weeks have turned to months
And I feel that I have to speak.

There are hungry people in this house
And their sad faces are really a shame
But I will no longer sit here, totally empty
And be the one that they blame

I have nothing left inside myself
Except some olive oil and some salt
I am The Cupboard, yes I am
But my emptiness is not my fault

But I know who’s fault it is.

NightLight in My Pudding

There’s a nightlight in my pudding,
There’s a pencil in my pie.
There’s an action figure in the toilet,
Please don’t ask me why.

There’s a cell phone in the trashcan,
There’s dried milk on the TV set.
And in the slot to the VCR,
There’s a toothbrush, not a cassette.

There’s Tupperware in the toy box,
There are toys where the Tupperware goes.
There’s a paintbrush in my underwear drawer,
How it got there, no one knows.

There are Fruit Loops in my sneaker,
There are crackers in my shoe.
I cannot open the telephone book,
It is stuck together with glue.

The cookie jar is filled with pretzels,
And the pretzel bag filled with chips.
Where the hell did the cookies go?
Must be in the fridge with the mustard and dip.

My flowerbeds are full of balls,
My garage is a hockey rink
My back yard is a driving range,
There is sand inside my drink.

My garden hose is used as a weapon,
My mower is an enemy tank.
My driveway is used as an artist’s canvas
My toolbox is used as a bank.

My little kids act like super hero’s,
I have Batman and Spiderman too.
And now my wife thinks she is Wonderwomen,
What am I supposed to do.
